Important Info!
What should I bring?
First and foremost, your absolutely amazing self! And …… a bathing suit, sunscreen, flip flops, party clothes, walking shoes, shorts etc. What else? A tennis racket, yoga mat, that blow-up floatie thing you really haven’t gotten enough use out of, along with whatever else sounds fun for a lakeside weekend. For folks staying at camp, all linens (sheets, pillow, blanket, and a towel) will be provided. The camp also has sports equipment and some water sports equipment (canoes, SUPs, and kayaks) available for everyone’s use.
Dress code is summer fabulous! Friday dinner is super casual; Saturday celebration is a bit more snazzy. Whatever that means to you is perfect! (It is a camp wedding after all.)
If you have room in your bag, you could throw in an extra towel or your special pillow—whatever you need to feel comfortable. (We don’t judge!!!!)
Check the weather beforehand! Even in high summer, weather in Maine can be a bit unpredictable so you may need a sweatshirt or rain jacket too.
It never hurts to pack some bandaids, advil and any meds that you may need.
Any other logistics about staying at the camp?
It is $100 per person for shared accommodations in the cabins, regardless of whether you stay one night or two. Payment can be sent to @Laura-Neale on Venmo or check mailed to:

Do you mind if I find my own accommodations and don’t stay at the camp?
We don’t mind at all! Do whatever feels best for you. We understand that staying at the camp in shared accommodations isn’t for everyone. There are tons of spots close by, we just recommend that you reserve as soon as possible! Options closest to Kamp Kohut are: The Hampton Inn in Oxford and Poland Spring Resort in Poland. Please let us know if you need any help with sorting out local accommodations.
All wedding guests, whether staying at Kamp Kohut or not are welcome to hang out, swim and make the most of the camp! Showers and a cabin to change will be available.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes! However, cabins are limited to adult guests only. Due to space constraints, we cannot accommodate kids as overnight guests at the camp. Kids are welcome at all wedding events and meals throughout the weekend. Folks who will be bringing kiddos: please plan on spending lots of time at the camp!
Can I bring my dog, cat, rabbit, pony?
Sorry, no pets of any kind are permitted at Kamp Kohut. Laura would like a word with you about that pony though.
I can’t come for the whole weekend, is that OK?
Of course! We know that summer is a busy time, so just let us know when you RSVP when you will be joining us and what meals you would like to participate in. For local folks (i.e., all you farmers in the bunch)—it’s totally OK to just come for the ceremony and party on Saturday. We’ll see you on the dance floor.
Are there any other rules that I should know about?
Smoking is only allowed in a designated area by the entrance to the camp. Please do not smoke in any of the buildings, by the lake, or any place outside of the smoking area. Let’s respect this beautiful space!
Aside from the camp fire, there are no open flames permitted at the camp. No candles in the cabins, OK?
Swimming is allowed from dawn to dusk. Always swim with a buddy and please no late night dips or canoe rides of any kind! There is no lifeguard on duty.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Sure, no problem! If you are vegetarian, vegan, GF, or have other needs, please just let us know when you RSVP. We got you!
Is there WiFi/cell reception?
Cell reception can be tad spotty, depending on your carrier and where you are at camp, but yes, you should have reception while you are there. And there is WiFi. Howsoever …… a weekend of hanging out, catching up with old friends, and celebrating may just be a great time to unplug and step away from the noise of technology and the soul sucking reality of screen time, no????
I am flying to Maine! What are the closest airports?
